Frequently Asked Questions About Volunteering
When can I volunteer at The Food Bank? You can volunteer at the Volunteer Services Center during the following times:
Are reservations required? Yes. Please contact The Food Bank at 417-865-3411 or email volunteer@ozarksfoodharvest.org and a staff member will contact you as soon as possible. Can individuals volunteer at Ozarks Food Harvest? Yes! Please contact The Food Bank or fill out a Volunteer Application to arrange a time for you to volunteer. Is there a minimum time commitment when volunteering? We ask that you commit at least three hours of your time when volunteering. Do you have age requirements for volunteers? Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Absolutely! All volunteers are welcome and encouraged to bring food donations when they volunteer. What should I wear? All volunteers are required to wear closed toe shoes. We suggest you wear comfortable, casual clothing that you can work in (jeans, t-shirt, shorts). Can volunteers bring food to eat? Yes. We have bottled water available for all volunteers as well as a volunteer break room with a refrigerator, microwave, and sink for your use.
