Special thanks to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks for awarding $40,000 in matching funds to Ozarks Food Harvest. Organizations with missions that correspond directly to the “Red Flag” issues, as identified in the 2009 Community Focus: A Report for Springfield and Greene County benefitted from the Community Response Challenge Grants for Fall 2009. The Food Bank is grateful for this partnership.
This dollar for dollar challenge grant opportunity provides operational support to organizations with missions that correspond directly to “Red Flag” issues, including child abuse and neglect, housing and hunger, and access to healthcare. Ozarks Food Harvest was one of three agencies selected to receive the challenge grant in the housing and hunger category.
Sincere thanks to the collaborating agencies who made the Community Response Challenge grant awards possible: The Musgrave Foundation, the Roy W. Slusher Foundation, the Thomas J. Carlson Fund, American Dehydrated Foods, Inc., and The Turner Family Fund.
Ozarks Food Harvest is happy to announce it met the match! Thank you to all those who so generously donated online or mailed a special donation to The Food Bank for the CRG Fund. Please know your gifts were matched dollar for dollar. Thank you for your support.
