2011 Men of the Year Honoree
Ozarks Food Harvest CEO Bart Brown was honored as one of the 20 inaugural 2011 Men of the Year by the Springfield Business Journal on September 16, 2011.

2011 Small Business of the Year
The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce announced Ozarks Food Harvest as its 2011 W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award recipient on May 4 during its annual awards luncheon. Read more. View photos.

AAF of the Ozarks’ Jane Meyer Award
In February 2009, Ozarks Food Harvest was honored for the third time with the Jane Meyer Non-Profit Award, which recognizes local nonprofits’ efforts in the southwest Missouri community. The Food Bank’s Feeding Hope Initiatives campaign, which included a special newspaper insert and three posters, were honored.

Top 20 Most Influential Women
The Food Bank’s Director of Development and Communications, Denise Gibson, was named one of the Top 20 Most Influential Women by the Springfield Business Journal on July 27, 2009.

Charitable Organization of the Year
Ozarks Food Harvest was named the 2009 Economic Impact Award winner in the charitable organization category by Springfield Business Journal on July 23, 2009. The Food Bank also received the inaugural award for the nonprofit sector in 2005.

Outstanding Philanthropic Organization of the Year
The Ozarks Region Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals named Ozarks Food Harvest the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization of the Year on November 21, 2008, at Highland Springs Country Club. This award was given to The Food Bank just a few months after Ozarks Food Harvest celebrated its 25th anniversary. To learn more, visit http://www.afpozarks.org.

Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year
The local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals also recognized Ozarks Food Harvest’s executive director on National Philanthropy Day, November 21, 2008. Bart Brown was named Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year at the same ceremony The Food Bank was honored as the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization of the Year.

Jane Meyer Nonprofit Excellence Award
In February 2008, Ozarks Food Harvest was awarded the Jane Meyer Nonprofit Excellence Award, surpassing all other nonprofit organizations in the Springfield area, for the successful, strategically effective Check Out Hunger™ holiday fundraising program. Mobile Food Pantry Recognized Internationally
Ozarks Food Harvest’s Mobile Food Pantry program was chosen as one of only two Rotary projects in the country to be profiled for Rotary International’s Video Magazine. A film crew visited the Ozarks the week of November 5, 2007 to shoot footage of the pantry in action. The program is sponsored by Rotary Clubs of Springfield and the Ridewell Corporation.

Summer Sunshine Award
In August 2005, Ozarks Food Harvest’s former program, Club F.U.N.™ won the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service “Summer Sunshine Award” for excellence in summer food service programs that emphasize improved nutrition and physical activities.

Nonprofit of the Year
Because of Ozarks Food Harvest’s impact on the economy in the Ozarks, The Food Bank was awarded the inaugural Nonprofit of the Year Award by the Springfield Business Journal’s 2005 Economic Impact Awards.

Show Me Solutions Award
The Food Bank was Governor Blunt’s first “Show Me Solutions” award recipient for outstanding nonprofit and private sector collaboration in 2005.
